The brand exudes a sense of romantic-sexy sophistication empowering the modern woman, which is desired by today’s brides-to-be. Charu Parashar label has built a strong legacy in last 15 years in the organized fashion segment globally. The showcase journey of the label has been across New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Philadelphia, Dubai, Kuwait, Toronto, Jakarta, Barcelona, Paris, Vancouver, and Milan, which clearly indicates the acceptance of the label into larger and contemporary diasporas. The label currently retails from high street fashion outlets across 7 countries.
About the Collection:
Charu Parashar’s new collection, Niloufer is a part of the Festive Edit and is also going to be showcased in the new store in Mehrauli, New Delhi. With Niloufer, the designer takes you on a nostalgic journey of style, beauty and fashion deriving the inspiration from the last princesses of the Ottoman Empire, Princess Begum Sahiba Niloufer Khanum Sultana of Hyderabad, who pushed boundaries with her sense of style and challenged the traditional norms for women, encouraging them to follow their heart.
Designer Charu Parashar this season resonates with the same sentiment in her clothes. She has westernized the Saree in a manner that blends the cultures of East and West. In this collection, Charu has experimented with the infusion of Aztec Geometric prints with Vintage Florals, which were then handcrafted with Resham Mirror work, Cutdana and Zari. The outcome was something that stunned her too, with each piece telling a story of an era by gone, while retaining the essence of modernity of today's women. The collection comprises of Jackets, Skirts, Ruffled Sarees with encrusted hand embroidered belts, Sharara sets, Kaftans, Dresses, Lehengas and Ruffled Blouses.
Speaking on the occasion, Charu Parashar said, "After capturing the world of high fashion and celebrating the completion of a 15-year long journey, I now step into the world of Luxury Bridal Couture with a line of blushing brides! Women of today need flowing hemlines playing peek-a-boo with bling and fitted forms which create magic with beauty,that exemplifies the style of the Modern Indian Bride." She further added, "As per the current situation, the whole experience of an Indian wedding has changed back to when it was more soulful and intimate. Over-embellished clothes are not something brides are looking for at this point.”
The ‘Charu Parashar’ store is open for visits, on an appointments basis. It has been specifically designed keeping in mind the present scenario of Covid-19. As less is more during such uncertain times, the shopping experience has been kept very intimate. The store houses a beauteous couture collection, specifically made for intimate weddings, as large gatherings are not possible. Whether it’s the price or the embellishments or the silhouettes, everything is designed very specifically keeping in mind the need of the hour.
